LG Master (F-series) audit software

LG Master (F-series) audit software is not supported on operating systems above Windows XP, as the product has been discontinued. It is however possible to still use the audit software by following the procedures outlined below.

Download and unpack the file

• Click the button below to access a webpage where a .zip (Compressed) file with the software package can be downloaded

• On the web page that opens, click the Download button located top left on the page. Do not click the file itself

The zipped file will download to either the downloads folders, or another location depending on your browser. Once the file has downloaded, it must be unpacked or unzipped.

• Locate then right click the file and select Extract all…. If the file has been supplied on a USB flash drive, copy the file to your computer and extract it.

If it is not possible to unpack the .zip file using the Extract all... command, download suitable unpacking software such as 7-zip

Install the Driver

Locate the folder Driver, open it and double click the file cdm20600.exe

Allow the application to run and wait for the driver to finish installing.

Run the software

Total Audit software for LG Master (F-series) has not been updated in several years, as such it will not install on a Windows PC in the normal way. The software can be used simply by running the .exe file from the unpacked folder.

Locate the folder F-Series Audit – TotalAudit_UK, copy and paste the entire folder to a location that will be unaffected by general PC use, such as the Program Files folder on the C: drive.

Open the folder, and locate the file TotalAudit.exe

Either double click TotalAudit.exe to run the application, or right click and create a desktop shortcut for future use.

Take an audit

Communications settings

• Connect the jack plug of the audit cable to the keypad
• Connect the RJ plug of the audit cable to the USB interface, and plug the interface into the computer.

• Open the computer’s Device Manager tool which is normally located in the Control Panel.

• Click the arrow or plus next to Ports (COM&LPT)

• Make a note of the (COM) port number listed against USB serial port or Communications Port if using a Serial Adapter or Serial Interface. In the example above, it is COM port 1.

If the port is not numbered between 1-4, right click USB Serial Port (COM_)  and select Properties. Click the Port Settings tab, then click Advanced and use the drop down menu change the port number to between 1-4. Click OK. It is possible that reassigning a port number to the USB interface may impact on other peripheral devices used with the PC. Please consult with your IT specialist to confirm.

Initiate downloading audit from the lock

The procedure is different depending on which code is available

Master
- Press and hold 0, enter the Master code
- Press P to scroll to PC LINK, then press OK
- The screen will display PC LINK ENABLED**

Manager
- Press and hold OK, enter the Manager code
- Press P to scroll to DOWNLOAD AUDIT, then press OK
- The screen will display DOWNLOAD AUDIT ENABLED**

Initiate downloading audit from the computer

• Run the Total Audit software
• Click the down arrow next to the start icon to elect the relevant lock system and whether you want to audit the lock or input pad (F18/F19 are both LG Master)

• In the popup, select either Master or Manager as appropriate from the drop down menu
• Enter the relevant lock ID (Usually 1)
• Type a description if required
• Select the COM port identified in Communication settings

• Click ABC

• Enter either the Master or Manager code as previously selected, then click the Arrow icon or press enter

• Input the number of events to be downloaded (Max 500), then click the Arrow icon or press enter

• The lock audit events will begin downloading. Once complete, right click in the table of events to select print or export options.
