TechMaster locks are audited using Windows software and peripheral equipment. On most TechMaster locks it is possible to view a basic audit on screen showing the time and date that a lock was opened, and by which user.

Master or Manager code


Download and unpack the file

Click the button below to access a web page where a .zip (Compressed) file with the software package can be downloaded by clicking on the page that opens.

Once the file has downloaded, it must be unpacked or unzipped. Locate then right click the file and select Extract all…. If the file has been supplied on a USB flash drive, copy the file to your computer and extract it.

  • If it is not possible to unpack the .zip file using the Extract all… command, download suitable unpacking software such as 7-zip

Install the driver

In the extracted folder, open the folder Driver_bat and double click the application USBXpressInstaller.exe

Allow the file to run if prompted and wait for the driver to finish installing.

Windows 10 latest updates
If the PC being used has been updated to the latest Windows 10 release, there may be a message "This app has been blocked for your protection". In this case, the following process is required to install the driver:

Copy the extracted folder to the C: drive of the PC if it did not download to that location on the C: drive.

In the extracted folder, open the folder Driver_bat and locate the file Installer.bat

Right click Installer.bat and select Run as administrator

Allow the app to make changes to your device

A command prompt window will open, followed by a dialogue box, click Install

Allow the installation to finish. There is a possibility that a message will show stating that conflicting versions of the driver have been found and must be removed. Click Yes to remove them.

Install the TechMaster audit software

In the extracted folder, double click the application TechMaster_Audit_1_21_vcRedist.exe

Allow the file to run if prompted and follow the onscreen instructions. A shortcut will be placed on the desktop if selected.

Take audit

  • Connect the USB interface to the computer
  • Connect the molex plug of the Audit cable to the USB interface
  • Connect the jack plug of the Audit cable to the port on the TechMaster
  • On the TechMaster, press any key to wake the display
  • Press to access the main menu then enter the Mastercode or press to scroll to the Manager menu and enter the Manager code.
  • From either menu, press to scroll to PC LINK then to confirm. The screen will display PC LINK…
  • Run the TechMaster audit software, and click New, then select Download Events
  • In the dialogue box that opens, create a name for the audit, and select the either the lock or keypad, and number of events as required. Ensure that the USB interface has been detected as shown in the screenshot next to USB Device.
  • Click OK and wait for the audit to finish downloading. A message will show Done when the audit is complete.
  • The software provides options for exporting the contents of the audit.
