Covering LG Basic, ComboGard Pro 39e, AuditGard 66e, Supra and TL11

General operation

  • Refer to each lock’s specific user operating instructions for full information
  • A short beep indicates a correct button press
  • A double beep indicates that the code of function has been accepted
  • If a mistake is made during a procedure, wait 20 seconds and restart the procedure

3 beeps after entry of a code

The code may have been entered incorrectly

  • Attempt to enter the code again

If the code is a user code, it may have been deleted or disabled

  • The manager code can be used to install or re-enable the code
  • If the Manager code is unknown, attempt opening with another code. The lock may need to be reset and reprogrammed to enable a new Manager code
  • If no other code is available an Engineer is required to provide other options to open the container

A recent attempt to change the code may have been entered incorrectly twice, recording a code that was not intended

  • Test variations of the intended code with changes to the first and last digit, in case the code was entered out of sequence in error

There may be a fault with the keypad, possibly due to wear and tear, so that the correct number’s signal is not being sent to the lock

  • If other codes are available, test them to open the lock
  • If no other codes are available, an Engineer is required to check the code(s) using a different keypad.

3 beeps on a key press, LED flash every 10 seconds

The lock is in penalty caused by 4 consecutive entries of incorrect codes

  • Wait 5 minutes for the penalty period to elapse and try a valid code again. Further entry of 2 incorrect codes will reactivate the penalty
  • If further attempts to enter a valid code result in a triple beep, an Engineer is may be required to test a valid code using a different keypad.

3 beeps during entry of code

The code entry is out of sequence, i.e. a triple beep occurs on the 5th digit because a key had been pressed in error

  • Wait 20 seconds and enter the code again

3 beeps while attempting to add User 1

The lock system is not a 39e, but a 66e or TL11, where User 1 is the Manager

  • Refer to 66e or TL11 instructions

3 beeps while attempting to add User 9 or 31

If the lock system has been programmed so that User 9 for 66e and TL11 or User 31 for Supra is able to override time delay, and time delay is active, the code can only be added during the open window

  • Wait for the time delay to elapse and add the code during the open window before the lock has been opened

3 beeps while attempting to add time delay values

Time delay is already active, and the new values are lower than those already in the lock system

  • Wait for the time delay to elapse. Attempt the procedure again during the open window, before the lock has been opened. The open window will continue counting after correct entry of the procedure. Open the lock, and on the next opening, the new time delay values will apply

3 beeps during change code procedure

If the new code differs from the old code by only 1 digit, it will not be accepted by the lock system

  • Use a different code

If the new code is a duplicate of a code already stored in the lock system, it will not be accepted (Not possible for Supra as each code contains a unique User ID)

  • Use a different code

If there is a problem with the keypad as mentioned in ‘3 beeps after entry of a code’, the new code may contain a number from a faulty key, and not therefore be accepted

  • An Engineer is required to assess the keypad

3 beeps during an attempt to use a Manager command

The code being used is not actually the Manager code

  • Locate the Manager code. If the Manager code is unknown, the lock may need to be reset and reprogrammed to enable a new Manager code, which is possible if the container can be opened to access the lock

The lock system has recently been reset and reprogrammed by an Engineer. The lock was not correctly activated after programming causing the Manager commands to be unavailable

  • It may be possible to activate the Manager code by changing it to a different code

2 beeps after code entry, but the lock / door handle does not open

There may be a mechanical fault with the container

  • Where a swingbolt is installed, if the container’s handle is not in the fully closed position, pressure is placed on the lock bolt head which can prevent the lock from opening. Ensure the safe handle is in the correct position before entering the code and rotating
  • Where a deadbolt is installed, the keypad or a knob must be turned before the safe handle is turned
  • There may be a boltwork failure or blockage such as cash bags preventing the boltworks from moving. An Engineer is required to assess

The lock may have been setup in dual mode, and is expecting a 2nd code to be entered

  • Enter a 2nd code

The lock may be an AuditGard 66e and is awaiting insertion of a user Dallas key

  • To test if the lock requires a Dallas key, hold down the last digit of any code. If the lock doesn’t require a user Dallas key, two sets of double beeps will sound. If the lock does require a Dallas key, holding down the last digit will result in only one set of double beeps

There a fault with the mechanism of the lock body

  • An Engineer is required to assess

LED flash every second

Time delay is counting

  • Wait for the time delay to elapse

LED flash twice per second, beep every 10 seconds

The open window is counting after time delay has elapsed

  • Enter the code and open the lock system

Unresponsive lock system

Dead battery

  • Change the battery, or in the case of 3035 or 3125 keypads, hold a 9v alkaline battery to the connectors on the face of the keypad then change the battery in the battery box. A good battery contact must be maintained whilst entering the code and opening the lock – even if the keypad rotates

Faulty lock system

  • It is possible that there is either a short in the cable caused by damage, or the lock body has become unresponsive and requires rebooting. An Engineer is required to assess and troubleshoot

Attempt to add a user causes the LED to go out

The User is already installed and must be deleted first

  • Delete the User then attempt to add the User again

The User was disabled

  • Attempting to add a disabled User re-enables a disabled code. Delete the User then attempt to add the User again

Repeated beeping and flashing during opening

Low battery

  • Change the battery.
  • 10 beeps, repeated beeping and flashing on a key press

    Low battery

  • Change the battery
  • If a new battery has been tested, there may be a problem with the lock systems such as: Incorrect battery polarities, a short in the cable running from the keypad to the lock body, a faulty component.

    • An Engineer is required to assess

5 beeps when a key is pressed

The lock system has been disabled by a signal from a connected alarm system

    • Stop the signal from the alarm system

    Continuous 2 second beep

On a TL11 only, the lock is in timelock.

    • Wait for timelock to finish
    • If the lock has lost power, and therefore the lock’s perception of current time is incorrect, it will be necessary to calculate when in real time the next open period may be. In the event that this is impractical, an Engineer is required to provide other options for opening the container.

    Continuous 6 second beep

On a TL11 only, power has been interrupted and the clock’s time is incorrect

    • Synchronise correct time with a PC
